For real. Its insane the MC is still antagonizing the god. I know the MC fears the god will turn Mimi into stone because he knows the future. But god fucking dammit if you're trying to avoid that future don't fucking antagonize the god!!
Meanwhile our poor god, Anubis, gets served free PTSD on a daily basis for seemingly no good reasons. I'm so pissed at the MC right he is actually stupid.
I'm pretty sure MC isn't trying to antagonise Anubis. There is a panel where they are clearly trying to non verbally convey to the God that they are acting now, by blinking/winking, I think. But then, the mob came and they had to pretend to fight. And tactic three is clearly said to be a tactic 'to protect the target'. And when the king shouts for tactic three, his men are visibly confused about it but still follow orders. All of this is a misunderstanding, and Anubis, poor baby, I hope he finds his happy ending.
I slapped my forehead so hard at this recent chapter. Our god needed a hug, not a kick to his butt.
