Kihoon is the red soul that’s why he said he have cursed. But since Yeon bind the red string in their previous life, they reincarnate with the red string but yeah he still in cursed. The rock maybe the place where they died (Kihoon flashbacks/Yeom dream) where they promised to be reborn and fight the cursed.
