take these with a grain of salt because I'm not chinese,
its either they bypassed the censorship for publishing the book outside of china or they change the writing to be somehow "acceptable" by the CN goverment.
l think its both the case for TGCF because the novel was originally published as censored and later mxtx posted the uncensored ver. But for the physical book cover its definitely because of the former.
I was wondering, how does the Chinese queer censorship works?? Cause in manhua and donghua they literally censor EVERYTHING, but when you read the novel, they don’t.. in tgcf there are literally xl and hc kissing in the cover!?
So i was wondering if anyone knows how does it works and how do they decide what to censor
