Came back at this since this is the very first Manga psychological I've read (the very very first is Killing Stalking-it's also my first yaoi/gay porn). This is the manga that's engraved on my mind since then. After finishing my psych course, I realized no one's at fault here, they're just all victims of actions. It's not life, rather it's 'poor coping mechanism'. Blond guy was a victim, MC was a victim, mother is also a victim.
In my psychoanalysis, MC is doing an "Identification with the Aggressor" method. This is a defense mechanism that can explain why someone who "hates their perpetrator' might still choose them in the end. This theory suggests that a person, especially in abusive or traumatic situations, may UNCONSCIOUSLY adopt the perpetrator's behaviors, attitudes, or perspectives OR they will just go along with the perpetrator as a way to cope with the trauma and regain a sense of control.
In situations involving intimate partner violence, victims may form a complicated emotional bond with their abuser, despite feeling hatred toward them. This often stems from a recurring pattern where episodes of violence are mixed with gestures of affection or kindness, resulting in a confusing and emotionally addictive relationship. The victim might hold on to the hope that the abuser will change or that they can somehow repair the relationship.
In the end of this manga, you can see blond guy being affectionate to the mc and mc reacting with blush. This made me think of how their relationship will be. Especially MC, he will return and return to blond guy bc it's already engraved on his mind that he knows blond guy and made him his pillar (which, of course, is a very poor coping mechanism). I'm also sad at the blond guy because he will never know how to properly love a person and sees rape or manipulation as a way to covey his feelings. And honestly, it's so unnecessary for the ex to come back or he's so annoying and acting like some hero here after leaving mc which also aggravated blond guy to do drastic measures....
