Because I clearly remember Kazuma confessing his 2 decades of love to Naoto and how he has waited for so long for Naoto to be his and then calling them boyfriends. And now Naoto has this conversation with his friends??? Of Kazuma stringing him along??? When he was the one who didn't want to put a label to their relationship and never told Kazuma he loved him back. You are difinitely right that it is jarring to rid.

The part about "Naoto being strung along" is honestly what pissed me off the most. Like I can *kinda* understand that maybe Naoto didn't take Kazuma seriously when he got called his boyfriend so, yeah, maybe he believes their relationship is kinda weird and unlabeled... but for the amount of straight up DEVOTION that Kazuma has been showing him (whether in a healthy way or not ) and the countless times he has all but said Naoto is his sole purpose in life-- bro, saying that Naoto is being ""strung along"" by Kazuma here feels like a fucking joke genuinely, doubting his feelings atp feels so surreal
Right.. he’s always been lowkey kinda irritating me cause I could tell even when he accepted kazuma he was still in denial about his feelings.. but like come on.. what do you mean you don’t know where you stand??? He literally told you flat out he based his entire career on taking care of you, because he’s loved you since childhood… I cannot believe he really thought in his head “but we never confessed or anything…” YOU AND YOU ALONE. I feel like the kind of relationship they were in should have been pretty clear… like what do you mean “we didn’t confess or anything” yeah, WE didn’t because naoto never said anything when kazuma confessed?
