i picked it up back after letting it gain another 50+ chapter and tbh i dont know what i found intriguing about it at first because all I’ve observed is the MC just constantly getting overpowered, no set backs and challenges to overcome, hes rude and arrogant but not like in a fun way (more like in a inferior complex way considering people used to look down on him cause of his family) and the story barely and i mean rarely adds to the overall growing and nurturing of the side characters, no back ground about his sister, no depth and understanding of his teachers, just surface level details. Then the story introduces something then completely delegates away from it like what happened to the crown prince before the beast man arc ? what is the story about with the royal family? and like HELLO is there romance or a girl just for the sake of romantic interest; like when is that part of the story gonna get expanded on ?.An overpowered MC can be cool and all for a story but it gets boring and tired and annoying to read when theres no challenging character introduced that may match the mc level and show him overcoming it through growth( besides the elder and master) and the constant regular aura farming that becomes way too normal, (practically every chapter hes absorbing something)
its an amazing fantasy story, i think realistically capture what the ancient world would have looked like with mages, sword masters, mythical creatures, demons and religion being an actual thing all in one, but its potential was destroyed by the author only focusing on the annoying and rude MC who has barely had any mental growth, resilience and ambition , I would give him that but hes had that since the beginning chapters, nothing new about him
cultivate the setting of the story, feed into the back ground of the side characters, create set backs, challenges and obstacles, establish growth ( not just physical) but mental that resonates with readers ; all these elements contribute to a fine specimen of an action manhwa but this story lacks these things sad to say
