Maybe this is the beginning of his jinx, just like his dead said he'll be dead before achieving anything, I guess Jaekyung fears that what he said about him not achieving anything will come true in the end. But in a practical way, his bad luck does not come his father's last words, it comes from his father's behavior who seems to be present in him. The only shadow that he fears is his own. The real jinx here is generational curse. If only the author presented these themes from the beginning in a interesting and nuanced way, maybe Jaekyung would be more engaging as a character.

Ahhhhhh. You're so smart. That jinx theory makes sense. But he did win a lot tho.
He fears he won't be at top forever? Sounds true for everyone and everything tho not just him.

Yes I guess he fears that in the end, he'll end up just like his father. It's a trauma.

But in what sense, because his father couldn't make it big and he literally is the biggest boxing star and held the champion title consecutively for a while. Maybe in personal life? Because he doesn't have a personal connection with anyone ATP tho.
He said in the starting that he has a jinx if he doesn't get laid he wins, so maybe he doesn't want to think anything before the match because of PTSD, and he did mentioned having insomnia and nightmares, that might be related to his past, and jumin's encounter is left till now as well. His dad did really fucked him up mentally pretty bad. It makes sense now for the jinx.

Well I guess his fear doesn't necessarily rationalize all his achievements in live. I think he fears that at any point he will succumb to that supposed destiny of failure. And I guess you're right, maybe the sex helps him clarify his head before the game and I think it's because that is the moment he fears the most and his jinx apears
