Boohoo, this poor psychopath had it rough. His crummy abusive dad died and never got to be proud of him. That's why he treats everyone like garbage we should all feel sorry for him.

Boohoo Jaekyung. We get it. At this point y'all are milking this hate to the point where it seems fake. We get it. Now stop.

It's not even about the character. It's about this trope. Every time there's a trashy top we have to sit through these overdramatic flashbacks to their crummy childhoods like that somehow justifies their abuse.

People that go through trauma don't get a free pass to treat everyone around them like garbage. People with mental illness or neurodivergence don't get a free pass to treat everyone around them like garbage. No one gets a free pass to treat the people around them like garbage.

Having a rough childhood doesn't justify anything and it's really lame when people try to make it out like it does. I hate the trope. I want this top to be trashy just because he's trash. Let him just be a garbage man.

It's okay to have a character who's just trash, unjustified trash, and have them go through character growth so they stop being trash. You don't have to try to justify and excuse the trashiness. Just do character growth and make them stop being trashy... But that's not what happens in yaoi manhwa, lol. We have to learn to accept the trash instead of having real character growth.
