Anyone who says "deserved" is genuinely so stupid. Yes, his trauma and bad childhood doesn't excuse his behaviour in present but shows how he dealt with it. For him abuse was something "normal", a part of his routine. Its his way of responding to stress, frustration or situations when he feels threatened. I'm assuming he never went on a therapy or shared his feelings with anyone. As the years went on he built walls around himself to "protect" himself. His behaviour is in deed immature but what else could you expect from a person who came from a dysfunctional family?? You could say "Dan also had a sad childhood!" but comparing them in this case makes no sense. Dan had someone that truly cared about him and taught that feelings aren't something "weak". On the other hand Jaekyung never learned how to deal with emotions or problems. In my opinion he is really misunderstood because of his bad guy mask and I hope that mingwa will finally make some progress in her characters development
