You guys seem to really miss the point of this whole back story. The author didn’t make it as an excuse of his behavior they did it so we all get a glimpse of why his mindset is so fck up. Childhood abuse can really reflect on ones mindset in life especially the absence of a mother but more over the love he never received from anyone, especially from a parent. Jk acts the way he acts because he never got to understand that all of this childhood trauma is in fact something he needs to fix in order to experience love and to reciprocate it. Not only that but he is a GROWN ADULT and is well aware of his temper and of his shitty way of treating people around him. He acts like his dad instead of breaking the cycle but i hope that eventually the author will make him redeem himself towards kim dan. Ofc kim dan has no obligation of forgiving him especially after everything he did to him but thats a choice the author has to make
