I don’t care what anyone says and how jaekyung has acted in the future, no CHILD/ TEENAGER should ever go through that abuse “ he deserves it”. NO CHILD DESERVES TO BE HIT BY THEIR OWN PARENT. Also the author isn’t showing yall the backstory to “ justify his actions” literally that is what YOUR mind wants. I also kinda disagree with the people saying “ it doesn’t matter how bad his backstory is he still shouldn’t have treated Dan like that” trauma can really mess a person up, and that weight can be carried into adulthood especially if you don’t seek help for it. Obviously that doesn’t excuse his actions towards Dan at all, but it does show why he acts the way he acts. No, he shouldn’t be acting like that in the first place towards Dan, especially since Dan this whole time was trying to help him stay in the right shape for his boxing career.
