Honestly I agree, I don't really like side couples in any romance genre though (BL, GL, straight), even if they're objectively written better/healthier than the main couple, idk why though, I guess it's because I get attached to the first couple shown so the side couple(s) gets on my nerves since it derails the storyline.
Same, like, if I wanted to read about some other couple, I'd just read a different story? I've enjoyed maybe 2 side couples in all the stories I've read and in one of those cases they got their development only after the main story had wrapped up
This is my problem with Green Apple Paradise,,, I really love the first couple but the author keep giving more about the second couple
Real, and then most of the time the author forgets about the main couple just to write more about the side couple. At that point just give them their own damn story

yes!! I agree 100% I’m reading this because I like the main couple,, but every good damned story now has side couples so I can’t escape it

don’t kill me but for some reason I don’t like side couples on bls why does every single story has to have a side couple that’s normally a friend of the mc?? and even more so a friend that has romantic feelings for the mc and then like someone random who also happens to have like a crush or smth on the mc, idk I don’t like it
