I still don’t really see the need… maybe I’m just overthinking it too much or maybe cause every other story I’ve read just kidnapped the lover and had a whole “held for ransom but it was actually revenge against the ransom person” arc. I just don’t see how this is cleaner and smoother if you want to torture and kill a dude…
Bear dude just said it this chapter, Haeon is under constant protection and even if he weren't he's still a hybrid therefore strong with fast reflexes so he's hard to surprise. Hence the getting in his good graces thing so he lowers his guard enough for them to succeed with the kidnapping.
You bring up the hybrid thing as if the bear isn’t a hybrid… also an adult bear is a stronger hybrid than a wolf cub. Other than the surveillance, none of those points are accurate. If it was just about getting the surveillance to drop their guard, then all was needed was for him to be hired. He’s personally giving him hybrid training. It’s unnecessary for his end goal. I get trying to get him to lower his guard but it wasn’t like his guard was up to begin with. He’s always had his guard down!
