At least author doesn't seem to be going for absolute cliche where childhood bestie is secretly (but very obviously to anyone else but mc) in love with mc and they completely fail to set proper boundaries for like 10 Chapters making their partner miserable so I can appreciate that more. Their other mangas and the prequel are so good im gonna keep reading i have faith they can make this work somehow lol
They're cute but its being set up for something weird with kurumi I can feelllll it and I dont like it :/ like the "promise" they made when they were younger, how they go out of their way to say he's overprotective and how natsumi does what kurumi said he would find super attractive that kou notes isnt part of his usual character - not saying in any way shape or form that natsumi likes kurumi or vice versa but clearly gonna be some misunderstanding here at least and I hateeeeee thoseeeeee noooo pls god
