You know what? If I ever said ANYTHING bad about him, I take it back. He has every right to act the way he did. This poor boy DID NOT deserve to be raped like that. That “father” can go die in a fucking hole. I am fully on ml’s side now. I’d have a shitty personality too if I was raised like that

Nope. Trauma doesn't excuse abuse. Ever.

Saying it on repeat as I do for almost every BL at this point, trauma/abuse/mental diseases DOES NOT excuse it being inflicted on others. That’s like “oh I got raped so it’s okay if I raped another cus I have trauma.”

Abuse is never okay, but depending on someone's trauma its more or less reasonable to expect them to be unable to have a healthy relationship.

The shortest way I'd put it: nothing excuses abuse, but some excuses are still better than others.

THIS, I hated him, and was close to dropping this story. But now I understand WHY he acts how he does. And will be able to forgive him AS LONG AS the MC is able to forgive him and continues to grow from here on out.

I %100 agree but someone has to break the cycle, sure u can sympathized with him in the end sometimes the abuser can have another chance at being good once again. It’s a lot of healing and a ton of trauma for both sides of the coin
