The trio's hurt is so understandable like imagine if things didn't end the way they did. They will be forced to watch their friend get killed in front of them, with no way of helping since Jiwoo himself requested none of their assistance.
And Kayden!!! I'd like to think he was tense and pretty scared to lose the only inkling of a family he's ever known to, and I will die on that hill.
