Everybody is feeling bad for Richard for the wrong reasons, he's unfortunate, but their issues are way deeper than him not getting her attention when she's busy working for him and the country. Like, after all the bullshit she’s had to put up with since childhood, her having to babysit her family and making sure they don’t get their organs harvested because of debt. She doesn’t have to carer to anyone in the palace, and that includes Richard. He’s also the backbone of the empire, and needs to act as such.
