based on the other manga (Memeshi Aku-) & Tanaka- I mean Nakata's monologue I think its all just in MC's head / pov. He had low self esteem & tend to overthink, so imo the other guys don't hate / make fun of him or even think too much about nerdy stuff being "uncool". Just like Nakata said & MC's admitted- he needs time to change or fix his way of think.
Yes makes sense , also his boyfriend is also in a friend group why would he let them bully his husband
real & from the way he carried himself, I like to think Nakata can fight if his hubby ever need help lol
