TLDR; The hate for MC (in regards to relationship with Kangwoo) is wild and forced by the same people defending Kangwoo.
The amount of people hating on MC either didn’t read the entire story, or just find any and all excuses they can to dislike a main uke (which for whatever reason, always seems to be the trend in most stories)
Sure, at first I felt bad for Kangwoo…until the one scene where a coworker joked about him and MC dating. And then even worse, at the end of the story when he admitted he never ONCE told MC that he loved him. Or even LIKED him. For 8 years. While I might think MC is stupid for sticking around that long despite that, it says more about Kangwoo than MC, and it’s 100% valid for MC to have ended things with him. I’m not sure why everyone is also acting like MC needed to be the one to speak up, as if Kangwoo isn’t also a grown adult and can also say what he wants to say. I wouldn’t be asking my partner why they haven’t told me they love/like me either. That’s not something you should have to ask the person you’re with. That should be a given that it’s something you do in a relationship if you actually have feelings for them. MC finally made the choice to leave when it finally got through his head that Kangwoo wasn’t giving, and wouldn’t give, something in the relationship that he shouldn’t have had to ask for in the first place.
