oh fun fact, a lot of Chinese wuxia stories are old stuff, like im in an asian country that's pretty removed from Chinese traditional murim cultures but around 1980s and 1990s, a lot of wuxia magazines are exported out of china to other asian countries, much like production of mangas, so that's what my dad was obsessed over.
I'm just ur average gen z (not a minor lol)

sadly, most of these magazines are decades old lol and even the ones that are in my dad's collection have been translated to our language, and kinda infested with termites when i search up the title, it doesn't come up anywhere. i assume it's bc it's discontinued? and probably not documented on the Internet bc it's a random piece of media??
Some old shows to recc tho, Xuan-Yuan Sword,
Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils,
Paladins in Troubled Times, etc.
He's watched a lot in the traditional Chinese drama sectors and i think there's more that he'll recommend, but these are what i watched with him when i was a kid that i remembered abt.
istg I've been avoiding long arduous murim ever since i was a kid and could never understand why my dad likes it sm. BUT THIS STORY GIRLLLLL I BE DOWNING IT DOWN LIKE A STARVING DOG
