The point of Jo is change/experience. It take time but that's the point. Saw someone say that the story started with Jo because it was time for Ian to have experiences to change and you can't change if there's no triggers to help you grow out of it. Hence the whole killing situation, it's an experience and how Jo reacts will help Ian. Jo is a foil to tj, that is his the point of him for Ian journey. Wetsand is Ian story and each top is part of that journey.
Oh I get it now, yeah it's tiring and repetitive, the point here is author showing us how this push and pull won't ever change but really we already know and there's really no point in showing us this scene if Ian doesn't push tj away, it S3 and with how much ian been with Jo he needs to push tj away and if he doesnt, it just show how Ian character will be put in a bad light even if we know why he acts like that. I legit thought you were thinking to like remove Jo from the story when in reality he's the reason it started.

I have been over Wetsand because I cannot stand a lucky paradise Part 2. I cannot stand love triangles, but honestly speaking what’s the point of Jo???
just make fucking TJ the ML because it’s like Ian doesn’t seem to have some type of defense against TJ and it’s annoying, so make TJ the ML and leave Joe alone. Ngl If jo snaps i wouldn’t even be mad
But fr fr at this point, what was the point of Jo?
