The trope usually goes that he's either straight up lying or kind of pushing it (a situationship like u said), but this time I wouldn't be surprised if it was just the plain ol' truth? I mean, if that is really the apt they both lived in, and it only has one double bed... seems plausible. And considering Sho doesn't remember what happened at the end of the kiss incident, it could just be a magically straightforward scenario where Mizuki backtracked, confessed, and they got together (cue the curtain call). ... That was a bit of a stretch right there, but it just feels weird that Shoma apparently doesn't fully remember how that day ended?? And I don't see any reason for the narrative to do that if that situation just truly ended with them not clearing up the misunderstanding and going "uh yeah bye"
