Soo just read this, and definitely don’t read if you don’t have a tolerance for red flag/black flag MLs. I’d say the worst of the treatment is in season 1, and if anyone wants to skip the worst of it but also still know of the bad treatment, start at season 2. Anyways the story isn’t really anything new of the usual red/black flag stories.

On the other side, in my opinion the regret arc is satisfying. At least it’s more than the usual “toxic ML says sorry or I love you and that’s it or the usual life threatening accident which makes the mc take them back immediately.” The ML didn’t go through anything as terrible, but at least he cried a lot and there were scenes of him actually feeling regret and pain for thinking of how he treated MC- which satisfied me lmao. (Which is honestly a step-up from the kiss me liar ML, who completely forgot everything he did and had to be reminded lol).

Also I guess the reasoning behind the ML’s toxicity stems from his mother. His own mom drugged him and turned him into an alpha, to then use him to kill his own father and half brother with the pheromone explosion thing. The result should’ve made ML die as well, but his father and brother protected him, and they ended up dying, leaving him the only survivor. So the mother seriously planned to sacrifice her own son for her personal gain. AND THEN she also tied him up and had him raped by several omegas?? And so that’s where the lack of trust comes from?

I will say- this story is one of the BL manhwas I’ve read where the ring the ML’s uses to propose is actually unique and has meaning. Cause other stories with just give them a ring with a gem or a plain ring with no gem. Just look at chapter 81. The design basically means one ring is mc, the other is ml, and the tiny 2 rings attached to them are their babies. So it’s like a stack of two regular rings but if you hold one up, the mini rings connect/keep the two normal rings together. Which I fr thought was cute LOL.
