I don't think she'll save the original Penelope because technically that's just herself. Saving her would just mean current Penelope regain her past memories but she doesn't need to since it was a miserable life. Just knowing it happened is enough she don't need to actually remember.
No, I think either someone will die during the final confrontation and she'll use it to save them or she'll use it to bring the real Yvonne back to life once they kill the Leila.
Personally I think her becoming queen would be a good ending, now that we (and she) know this world isn't a game and is were she belonged from the start, the modern world isn't that important anymore. Especially since the reason she wanted to go back was because she worked so hard to finally obtain her freedom there and because Penelope's life sucked, so there's nothing else than the sunk cost fallacy bias tying her to that world now.
But also modern comfort... I'll be happy with whatever world she decide to reside in. If she can actually decide were she stay since we still don't know how exactly the two worlds were linked or what the system actually is.
The thing is she is the real PENELOPE.
The last fragment is within the modern penelope which is the mirror of the past penelope (like his dad, how they treated her, his 2 brothers and more). So everything is faith because the curse of leila follows even the modern penelope in her world. Meaning SHE IS SAVING HERSELF EVEN SHE IS FROM ANOTHER WORLD.
But I do agree with your sentiments at this point all we need is to waitt for the plot to thicken even moreeee
Ok so her soul was destroyed, turned into ashes, only one fragment remains and because the world is trapped in an endless time loop, they took her back... with how things are going, it's like this is the final chance before penelope's soul is completely destroyed but it's so unfair to fl... I understand the world doesn't have a choice since the loop is forced but...
and save someone? we can all think of vinter since he offered his soul to turn back time but I wonder, won't she save penelope? the original penelope? she suffered all her life, had her soul destroyed because she was the only one having to die again and again and only when the world had ended someone understood she was wronged... She really had it the worst out of everyone... but if she's saved then what about the present penelope and callisto's relationship? Since he only want to be with her, maybe he'll follow her into her original world, and beat the shit out of her family for mistreating her
I'd kinda like it to be honest... more than fl becoming the queen...
