That's what i Also think about whenever I read stuff like this I mean it's kind of the same view with rashta like people hated her so much but if the stories POV was her she would be the perfect pitiful Mc lmao same with that guy with PTON that seungho slept with i mean he did bad things to nakyum but like idk too complicated
I've read stories where female MC is a transmigrator into a novel or video game who needs to torture the original heroine or make original ML fall for her just to survive and I sympathized with them...
I imagine that if this story were told from the perspective of the guide who needs to be useful (by making ML fall for him) or else the doctor will literally kill him, then, I would've sympathized with him. It still would've required more explanation about what he did to every guide whose esper he seduced but it's not impossible to explain in a way that makes him appear in a sympathetic light.
It's the power of POV, I suppose. Everyone despises him including me but if the POVs were switched, he might've been pitied by most readers
