If I remember right, he's probably the future child of Prince Albert (son of First Prince Gautier who died) and the Castillan Princess. The two were engaged during the lance tournament in Lahoz. So, he's supposed to be the grandson on the King.
But he was born before Alec when his father the first prince died. I’m so confusse too.

Prince Albert + Princess Nevara = Prince Cyril
They are still both kids in the Marriage of Convenience that's why it's hard to remember them sksksksk
The King which is also the former Princess Audrey I, altho has a lover who is the Castillan Knight, I guess never had a child because she never wished to marry anyone. Instead she chose the young Prince Albert to be her successor.
Something probably happened to Prince Albert that's why Prince Cyril became the next king.
