The director or ML wants a baby simply bc he wants to shoo off those elder generals who are after his seed. He’s somewhat attracted to the MC but he really wants to just baby trap him and use him as collateral against the antagonist general
Since you can’t experiment on citizens he wants to use the fact that MC can get pregnant (the MC doesn’t know he can get pregnant btw) to bring down the general and to also have the MC as a mistress
