yep, as an indian, when he said mixed pickles it clicked. i’ve never had japanese curry either so i actually related more with inami on that side. just shows that sometimes, rather than it just being wealth disparity, it’s also a matter of being brought up differently in different households. i’m glad aoi could see through that, though i understand the initial feeling when it feels like someone is picking on something very dear to you.
Indian curry was what Inami had in mind. Usually made with beef sometimes chicken. Side dish boiled egg and pickled veggie or acar, papadam, bhaji and raita. It depends I guess. And you served them separately.
