i got the feeling that this would end up being a pretty loose adaptation after reading ch10… ch11 (and this comment) confirm it. that’s disappointing to see they’re adapting so loosely and swapping out the action and comedy segments for rushing the romance, the original story is good as it is :(

this is VERY untrue, both yoogyeol & joonmin have had no involvement with other people at all (yoogyeol bc hes liked joonmin for so long, joonmin bc he refuses to entertain the idea of romance before he finds Woojoo. priorities and all that). yoogyeol does have a lot of admirers, but he’s very oblivious.
as for assault…… i would say no, but i think it’s a no that hinges specifically on the context of the world. there’s a scene where joonmin’s levels go critical and he’s super close to rampaging, so yoogyeol has to try insertive guiding. from my understanding of guideverse (which is not much), the setting treats it entirely as a (mostly emergency) medical procedure. it’s not meant to be considered a sex scene at all (when they do have sex in the extras they don’t count it because of the context) and it’s uncomfortable in-context because of the circumstances, and yoogyeol does feel terrible about it. but joonmin says to consider it as a medical emergency, which it was? ykwim

The reverse guiding isn't even a thing in the novel as far as I have read, but based on my knowledge it's basically when the guide has to get guided by the esper through physical means. Really doesn't make sense in the context in this story and way unnecessary since their sweet moments in the hospital later this event were just delicious
Also I just want to add that MC was unable to be healed by a healer in this moment and had to recover naturally basically.
yeah it’s not a thing LOL not in this situation. it does get mentioned pretty late in the story, but it’s addressed as a case of like. the esper forcibly taking energy from the guide (so it would still be for the esper’s sake in this situation, not the guide’s. i don’t think guides can HAVE an overflow of guiding energy the way the manhwa is spinning it, they don’t have any powers or anything. they’re just normal humans.) it’s a shame things are getting changed bc like you said their hospital moments really were sweet :(
They are changing quite a few things here. They are making everyone way less cool TT. Like we find out in the beginning that the MC has an ability to detect rampages even before the regulatory chips espers have do. A little bit before this rampage scene, MC and ML are just walking down the street when MC stops a random stranger and tells him he is about to lose control.
Also mc wasn't even present during this rampage scene originally. He was at the beach with his mom and his sister. MC got way more beat up (broken arm, broken ribs, broken just about everything) and he was still like, "Nah, I'm still gonna guide this esper. He has a baby girl." and the ML doesn't come to save him til the end.
They have toned down a lot of the fighting and left out funny tidbits like how they fight so much the center stopped paying for repairs in their apartment, so they had to make the 2nd bathroom a neutral zone because they destroyed the 1st one.
Looking at the raws, they are going to be following the story very loosely.
