How can she think about forgive her mother even if her mother thought about her? It was still wrong—do people really live happily just because of money? She could have earned money herself and raised her daughter. Instead of thinking about her daughter’s happiness, she thought about money. In my opinion, she was selfish. She just wanted to live in that house because it was wealthy. Anyway, they didn’t get any respect in that house, so what was the benefit of staying there? What’s the point of living among people who value you only for your money and judge your worth by it?
