So, I read a comment in the first few chapters saying that the guy is actually a God or something of that being. He likes the girl because she's the only one who sees him for what he really is, she can see his true form. That's why he's following her and is in love with her or something.
i kinda thought it was gonna be smth along those lines
huh so ig he really is some kind of otherworldly being.... probably some kind of demon doppleganger? I'm guessing they made some kind of life force contract, which is y he said he can only be bound to her...
i'm guessing he brainwashed her or smth and altered her memories and experiences.
i was thinking maybe "he" wasn't even her senior in high school, the actual owner of the body(?)/og ML(?) was tho, and that "he" stole the body bc the face was her type, and used that to get close to FL.... and protect her? maybe her og world(?) is in disaster and he brought her to his world which he made similar to hers....? maybe that's why his business and everything is just a front.
this quote really speaks abt him: "if it's technically perfect who cares if it doesn't have a soul? a perfect imitation is no different from the real thing."
Also i think most of the things he says, he means literally.

also me personally the first thing i would do if i forgot abt my so called "husband" is check my phone. I swear ppl in fiction never check their damn phone.
