I feel like the author dragged for too long the "shitty Jaekyung" arc. Now it doesn't matter what she shows us. I don't think the character will gain sympathy from the public, no matter what he do. And it sucks because they will obviously end up together...
I don't think the purpose of his backstory is to make us pity him or sympathize with him. The author must have something planned for his suffering, we might see him going down soon or something
