I mean he is basically an orphan with zero friends who know anything about him, also he wasn't local from seoul but a small far away town, so it kinda make sense... and he ain't a kpop star but a sports champion so the paparazzi would have different things to write about? skills maybe?... and it's not like every superstar's life history is broadcasted out loud, some do have a past no one knows about irl... but yeah, idk man

He didn't have friends, but he tagged along other punks and criminals, one of which also became a MMA athlete. And when tabloids want to dig up a scandal, especially in Korea, trust me they are capable of anything.
Having a superstar be a former punk, who beat up people in the streets and possibly affiliated to drug dealing? You're so screwed, you're career ruined at the speed of light!

Boxers/mma fighters aren’t like idols. Their career won’t be over with one scandal. Just look at Mike Tyson and his rape charge. He spend time in prison for that and is still a very respected athlete

Well no, if the protegees are ticking bombs sponsors can ditch them anytime instead of going trough the trouble of covering up their shit. They also use it as a weapon/deterrent.

It's somewhat true, but he is already infamous for his temper, his past wouldn't have even matter that much lol... and although i get your point that he was associated with bad peoples in the past but for his stature in a especially violent sport wouldn't have intrest anyone to know about his past or something... but yeah whatever, as long as the story progress in a good direction I'm cool with anything.
