I'm not a fan. But I was sad, seeing such a wasted potential

I had high hopes for this. I was a bit disappointed tho. great smut. Attractive characters. But overall it was pretty shallow. Heavy themes of PTSD, death, drug abuse and SA were handled lightly.

To start with, I'm a little confused about the world building. What country are they in? Why is there an ocean nearby? Is this a city or a country side? What's their nationality? Is Diego a college student playing football who owns an Airbnb?

Jayden met Diego for like 4 days ago and it was love, and so they had sex and acted lovely dovey after the sex. And then 2 days later after Daniel appeared, Jayden realized he loved Diego after all and he wanted to forget his dead crush. So the self-realization magically cured Jayden's PTSD. He even stopped therapy. Also. I don't really see the point of the SA? Bro, it was unnecessary.

I wish the author focused more on Jayden's character development and his healing from PTSD. Story could've been written better if there was less sex and more deep conversations with Diego. Like adults to adults. I wanted to read heartfelt words from Diego, giving Jayden comfort. After the brief confession, they could've gotten to know each other better and talked about something meaningful. Or like going on dates through a time skip or like the seasons changing in short panels of them together.

But no.

Diego, during 10+ chapters, acted like a high schooler blushing for his crush. Jayden solely realized his "want to change" by himself, with the help of his bearded friend and the random appearance of Daniel. Diego was there as the ball of sunshine and his smiley existence. That was it.

Why is Diego the title when it was all about Jayden anyway? Diego coincidentally just looked like Matthew. He was your typical clingy puppy seme, that's it, but I didn't see his significant role in the story. Diego just appeared as a replacement for Matthew.

Title should've been "Matthew"

Anyway. That's just my complain because I had expectations that weren't met in 25 chapters. Should've been 50 chapters.
