him being self centred and holding his head high is all what he is and what he has until now. but to be a jerk, rape, trample on others and more… doesn’t justify his past. if the coach knows what he has been doing in bed, they will not accept this. at this point author just want sympathy and yep i think u fall for it.
“Sympathy” or just revealing his past and why turned out this way. Which falls very close to reality. You don’t know how many ppl go through this and end up misguided. AND NOBODY JUSTIFIED HIS PAST. But you lack empathy and normal human decency to see that.

Nobody here justify his current actions, but we all can feel sorry for that poor baby that once was innocent and understand why his past made him into who he is currently. And your comment was about how boring this story got, so what are you finding interesting here up until now if this is how you feel about the plot
