To me, it'll be simply because legally they would be seen as 'siblings' by society norms. And the whole mortality of being raise as siblings is what will disgust me the most. I am open-minded as well, or at least to some extent i try to stay/be open-minded, but the example you gave about childhood friend or two orphans marrying as adults even though they grew up together isn't the same as to the reasons i mentioned above.
Is the terms of logically being tied by legal laws from their parents' remarriage. Two childhood orphans marrying is not the problem. Two strangers who grew up together is not strange, but non-related blood childhood siblings that are tied down as siblings because they are legally siblings by society's law and grew up together as siblings is just icky!!. I hope you can see this topic from this perspective.
I’m an only child and have never had siblings, so this really is coming from pure curiosity. I like to think of myself as fairly open-minded, so I want to ask: why are people so disgusted by this kind of story?
In the series, the ML and FL aren’t related by blood. Whether or not they were raised as siblings, if they know they aren’t actually related and they end up falling in love—what’s the problem? They aren’t even biologically related to their parents who married each other, so I was genuinely wondering.
To put it simply:
1. Why are people disgusted by this when there’s no blood relation?
2. What’s wrong with falling in love with someone you were raised alongside as “siblings” if you’re not biologically related? How is that different from falling for a childhood friend? What about two people raised together in an orphanage who later marry as adults?
