TL;DR: Overall story is okay, execution was a lot better on earlier chapters. The side characters felt a bit meh but it wasn’t too bad. 7/10.
It’s finally over.. I remember really liking the arc on the earlier chapters since we really see how Doyoon’s death was affecting Gyeol so much so that even mentioning the incident really makes him angry and at the same time, miserable. Doyoon was the cause of suffering, but at the same time he was the one who freed Gyeol. It did take a while but I really liked the pacing and execution in earlier arc compared to the rest since it’s all raw emotion.
I’ll say that after they officially reunited, the story was a bit meh. It also did not help that the art quality took a huge nosedive with the character’s face being weird with all the pointed chins and weird faces lmao.
But still, the story had its moment where I really felt bad for Doyoon due to his suffering, pain and the fear of being forgotten. Like when he’s feeling that he lost his identity and when he thought that there would be no one else to remember him, he had to cling to Gyeol for him to not lose his only anchor to the world. But at the same time, he felt that his time was limited since he did not know whether the OG Doyoon would take back his body.
I just wish we got a lot more moments with the side characters since some of them were a bit meh except the villains ofc. Maybe a side story?
Overall, the story’s fine and we finally get to see them both happy istg Doyoon-hyung, OG Doyoon and Gyeol suffered so much that I want to give them all a hug.
story has potential and more to showcase but yeah they end it pretty decent and have to thugs our heart into tears for the last time in that very scene T-T
