Seriously, I wish they’d just wrap it up. There’s really no way for these two to ever have a happy ending together. Giving us this prick’s backstory isn’t going to develop the main plot anymore than saying,”He likes the color blue.”
This is sad or whatever but its kinda hard to care bc it just feels like a generic tragic backstory to explain why he's a shitty person. Like you could replace it with any other toxic top tragic backstory and it wouldn't rly change that much. And I'm not even a toxic top hater I just don't gaf about this "explanation" when it's so boring. If u want to make me empathize with him maybe make him actually show some character growth now instead of dragging out the plot with this lame paint by numbers backstory
