THANK YOU!!. Their relationship is based on sex, but people hold onto all those years of history they share, its not relevant in present time. People outgrow each other. Both Ian and TJ want different things and if they end up together thst means one of them would have to sacrifice the life they want, and its selfish for people to except it from either of them.
I dont care if Ian doesnt end up with Jo, But Ian ending up with TJ would be the worst.
This chapter really solidified the fact that Ian is only so stuck on TJ because of the sex. Repeatedly we’ve seen that when they come face to face it usually evolves into sex. To Ian sex with him is another ecstasy or high, something he used to achieve through drugs. He compensates his inner turmoil through temporary pleasures. Ian could fucking say he doesn’t love TJ and you’ll see them having sex and deny that fact. Sex doesn’t equate to love. Not in the context of Ian of course.
