i could see the appeal of this story, but at the end of the day, depending on the direction the story takes, my qualms are with the author, not the character (hero) itself. all i could think of while reading this is sylus from love and deepspace; he also has all the boxes ticked like the hero, and he also loves the female lead, but he still values her autonomy and choice, even though they're predestined. the two of them may have been chosen by the stars to be together, but here on earth he still needs to be chosen by her willingly, without any sort of pressure. the reason why i said i could see the appeal of this story is because i also enjoyed a lot of stories like these in the past, but after encountering sylus' arc, my enjoyment on this kind of manga has lessened. being respected, at the end of the day, is still much more meaningful.
