I dont think any level of sadness can excuse wrongdoings but it does explain things like his behaviors and beliefs. What he did cant be excused no matter how sad a backstory they put on him. What matters is how he acts now and moving forward and the character development. (っ.❛ ᴗ ❛.)っ

I’m so obsessed with Jaekyung, but as far as the story goes…..
1-I’m so happy that Dan is acting the way he is. In fact, I think he’s still too nice to Jaekyung. I hope he continues to grow as a character.
2-Jaekyung my love is heading the right direction ; however, I don’t think his backstory thus far is sad enough to excuse everything he did to Dan. Yes, Dan consented and was getting paid for it, but the humiliation and mistreatment was unnecessary and not part of “their deal.”
About his jinx, i seriously believe what one of the readers said a while back, that it’s probably a coincidence and mental connection he made when he would sleep with someone and he would win. He’s just a good athlete but he just made that connection whenever he slept with people.
I love the story don’t get me wrong, but I just don’t think it’s still sad enough to understand the psychological and physical abuse he did to Dan.
