she's still a kid

I like how she didn't suddenly become ultra mature and logical. she still enjoys kid things, it's so refreshing from an actual adult in a childs body. This is just a child who knows some stuff.

Right? It always feels weird to me when the kids remember every single thing from their past lives and act so coherently and mature. Like, there are scientific reasons for kids' attitudes and actions. Their brains are literally smaller and less capable of deep focus and logical thought, babies's brains have undeveloped areas, teenagers have overactive hormones that affect their decision making. All of these things go out the window with stories like these and that always feels so weird to me. I like this way better, she has her memories of the past, but she only remembers the important events that left lasting impressions (you know, like, how memories actually work????) rather and an orderly display of detailed chronological events, and she also processes these memories from the reduced cognitive standpoint of a young child, rather than plan the overthrowing of the universe like in other stories. Those are fun too, don't get me wrong, but this is so much more realistic.
