I was just ranting about the chapter size and now i hear about a hiatus? Why the fuck do they even bother publishing anything anymore

It was in general, idc about hiatus authors can take as many breaks a they require but issue lies at the fact is that just how they pretty much contrived a cliffhanger into this basically a 4 koma amount of chapter then take an extended leave which to me is in bad faith bcs that tells me two things, they dont care about the story and they only care about the views. and i pay for these chapters. I just come here for the comments and besides, what does piracy have anything to do with trash talking companies. You do know its not just a single person(author) behind these chapters right?
this thread is about the author and the author's decision to take a hiatus. so your comment ("why do they even bother publishing anything anymore") sounded like it was referring to the author and not the corporation as lz wasn't mentioned at all.
and that's a lot of assumptions to make. the author herself stated that she took steps in order to NOT take a hiatus but inevitably needed to prioritize her health before her work. this was solely her decision, not the publisher's. just bc this just happened to take place after a cliffhanger that i would argue is not contrived in the slightest doesn't mean they only care about views. it's just 3 weeks. it's not that serious. shit talk the company all you want but know that your comment sounded like you were shit talking the author instead
I need you to be real with me. No where is it mentioned in this thread that its about the author lmfao that is before you decided to virtue signal me that it was the author going on a hiatus. A hiatus can be taken for numerous reasons and im a firm believer that in this case its to boost its sales. You feel like it wasn’t contrived sure but its not my duty to correct your perception of who is the publisher and who is the writer, you had the internet and school for that. Also like you cant just assume that everyone is on X and are keeping up with authors lol. You could have just asked if you were confused but nah

I SAWWW that's so sweet of her (i think her? i thought i read somewhere the author was a woman)!!!! a lot of people these days have been complaining about how often authors are taking hiatuses but i'm honestly really glad regular breaks have become so common now. hoping for a full recovery
