Well I only saw how the old man is dugging the uke to be a better fighter hence why the uke must like pain. there is going to be a lot of angst and problems when the MC will try and help the uke get away and break the hold the old man has on him. Knowing past mangas I’ve read with almost the same plot always the author will put the uke through more pain also they the uke will go back and forth between the MC and the old man. Everything will feel frustrating and idk if the ending or the resolve will be brushed off mostly or the uke will actually get time to heal
