
I think it’s a lose-lose situation, either choice makes her vulnerable for Ash to betray her. If she chose to keep Ash then she runs the risk of being betrayed and risking her political career or worse, her life. Even if she treated him with love and respect, it’s hard to say that he could change since he is a victim of her nation, has ties to house babbs, and she could become paranoid at the thought of betrayal. She made the best choice considering she has no power so why would she risk getting betrayed as she begins gaining political power. But I do agree that she’s absolutely contributing to Ash becoming her enemy but who knows what she has planned
I see a lot of people say she was right to cut off ash, but she is literally making the version of ash she wants to avoid. And as we’ve seen he holds grudges, so well he doesn’t really care who’s side he’s on she pushed him to any other side besides hers. Which seems like the wrong move as she knows how dangerous he is. And he is a main character in the original story so he is likely to come back.
