Exactly!! After all those years seeing him with the dude he probably heard about throughout the friendship knowing he wasn't reciprocated he's a saint (or a big time masochist) for not leaving sooner my poor baby needed to get away.
I swear if after all this he dares to say some shit like "can we still be friends" instead of "I'm sorry I love you please take me back" I'm gonna destroy him
True. The pain of not being able to confess and waiting for the right time, and the fear of the result or outcome. Witnessing the happiness with you, but you see him much happier with others really hurts. Knowing to yourself that you should not succumb on the assumption, but you must assume the worst so you can protect yourself more
Not that it means nothing, it just gets to a point where it means so much it overtakes everything and you have to take a step back because it's what's better for yourself :(((
