I see what you mean but I also think he’s definitely shown as someone who’s destroyed himself with grief for his wife. She’s been gone a year, so I think it’s fair that he experiences at what is his own pace, guiding and eventually love again since his wife was his guide and spouse. Because this is Guideverse and yaoi I imagine they will be intimate quite quickly but in real life that is often part of the process for a lot of people. I think it’ll be a slow burn to love/official confirmation of a relationship in this story but I think we will see the push and pull of being with the ML and enjoying his company and likely being intimate versus his wife’s death and her unsolved case. I think eventually for the MC the feeling of wrongness that he feels when he enjoys stuff with the ML will fade and he will accept that he can and should love again. Grief nor love has a timeline and they are quite interconnected in reality especially for widows but life moves on, and he should be happy and love again on whatever timeline feels right.
He should of grieved a bit more???? Its been over a year since his wife died. What hes going through now is considered PGD (prolonged grief disorder) which is very unhealthy and its taken a toll on his mental health.. among other things. So I must say even though I understand what you mean i do not agree.
Am I the only one thinking he should have grieved a bit more? Ik people cope differently but if I get unconsently kissed by someone on the couch me and my wife shared, I might wanna kms ngl. Like it isn't cheating on his wife, but in some twisted way it felt like betrayal. (Not saying he betrayed her, but if I were him my mentally unwell mind would guilt the hell out me for it yk)
Besides that, just from the state of his mental health, house conditions, and the fact he kept refusing guiding I thought he'd look a bit more haggard, a bit more depressing. From what was said I was srsly hoping he was more forceful and adamant in the boundaries he set. He doesn't to hold much grudge about it being broken. (while it is still ML fault for disrespecting his boundaries but I feel like we all know what type of character he is)
