That’s true lmao. The only way it won’t end up with an odd age gap is:
MC got a second life, but still died as a very young child in their past life, so in the current they still are a child mentally.
Regressed/transmigrated/reincarnated MC first meets a romance interest only when they’re an adult.
Mc has had multiple lifetimes, making their mental age far older, and the love interest is some supernatural being of the same age.
But these are all very rare lol
It's funny how everything with an age gap = groomer.
Isekai as an child MC couple with same age = groomer
Older MC with a younger partner met when both are teens = groomer
MC turned back the time partner up with older partner = groomer
Sooooo... just don't read the story if you didn't like the trope.
