I personally love that the female lead had passed lives and that she even had a son with another man, even though it was very tragic because it’s a trope we never get to see. The more common trope is that the ml has a child with another woman or that he is a manwhore and has experience before her. Even though that has occurred in this life with Carcel being a manwhore, we the readers and now Carcel also know that she once had a husband and a son.

Not sure why you only single out Luca. She was pregnant FOUR times with Oscar. There’s even an image of a dead baby with black hair in a crib when she narrated her life with Oscar. That makes five children. A pregnancy is still a baby.

She desired her son with Luca. I’m sure she desired a child in her “life” with Oscar, but he made her miserable and her life would have been just as miserable even if she succeeded having a child with him. Also a pregnancy is a fetus till proper development

Ines said in the novel if her children with Oscar had lived, she would love them. Moreover, the night she had the nightmare about Luca, she said ALL of her children died. If she didn’t care nor desire her children with Oscar, why then is she saying ALL of her children died. She was upset every time they died. Also, for the record, Ines believes a child in her womb is a child. She’s not like modern people who think a child in the womb isn’t a child.
