I think it’s more related on the “ more blameless than anyone”. Kael is proof she is not blameless. He represent her guilt that’s been eating at her. For the whole chapters, our FL has been trying to get her to admit that manipulating and dropping Kael was what drove him to suicide. The crown prince admitted how abandoning his friend Kael was foundation to that event and apologised. But she never once did. She just found excuses and delusions.
Nobody’s talking abt how she processed her words and then looked at Kael??? Like she realized how Kael is more pure than her, that everything she said, it’s not her who embodies those words but Kael.
